Death Hunt

The winds are coming in.  Moving targets won’t be easy to shoot.  Control your breathing! Slow it down and hold it. Good.  Now, pull the trigger.  Again!

You know times are tough when animals will no longer cut it as a hunter’s prey.  Welcome to the bizarre leanings of Death Hunt, an island bound thriller with more than a few extra bullets to be loaded in its chamber.

"Violent and full of large amounts of blood spatter (along with a few good shocks)"

Opening with a WILD scene which turns hunting on its head thanks to the human targets, Death Hunt, directed by Neil Mackay and co-written by Sean McAulay, is a female revenge flick that takes its Deliverance meets The Most Dangerous Game influences and hangs it upside down, proving that women are the last ones standing as deranged locales hunt a stuck-up land developer and his mistress on a remote island.

And it is to the DEATH in this sport!

The economy has turned to shit, and the people of Crawford County are pissed off, ready to shoot anyone that they don’t trust.  I mean that quite literally as these two outsiders - Ray Harper (Omar Tucci) and Brooke Hamilton (Marlene Malcolm) - are diverted from their cottage getaway, kidnapped, and hunted for sport on a rock which is surrounded on all sides by water.  Even their hunters cannot leave . . . at least not until their prey is killed.  I mean, there has to be rules to all these fun and games after all.Death Hunt

Co-starring Rick Amsbury, Michael Coughlan, Greg Johnston, Frank Ieraci, Terry McDonald, Peter Lewis, Sam Slessor, and Mason Cromwell, Death Hunt might have some pacing issues, but it proves to be a thriller as the group’s targets gets whittled down to only one.  And she is through with taking shit from these assholes.  She might be bleeding, but that is not going to stop her onslaught as the mistress becomes the mighty, no longer willing to be mansplained to by ANYONE.

Violent and full of large amounts of blood spatter (along with a few good shocks), this low budget thriller lands on DVD and Digital July 12 from Uncork’d Entertainment. Survival is the new sport!
