It’s The Regulators vs The Outlaws!

 Den of Thieves, consisting of the first and the sequel, aren’t the most complicated of films.  They are violent, gritty, and deal with sociopaths disguising themselves as modern men.  The films are cops and robbers capers with just a bit more drama when it comes to the masculine department as the thin blue line between law holders and law breakers is crossed, broken, and moved time and time again.

Okay, so the set-up isn’t original, but the gritty atmosphere - as the films are set in the grimiest of locations (the first being in Los Angeles, the second all across Europe) - puts the films over the edge as Nick O’Brien (Gerard Butler) and his squad of cops go after Donnie (O’Shea Jackson Jr.), a low-level member of a very active gang of thieves.  They pull him, believing him to be the weakest link, yet discover that they have been had . . . which ends in a reign of bullets and perfectly sets up the sequel, Den of Thieves 2: Pantera.

This collection of gritty crime-thrillers starring Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr. blurs the lines between cops and criminals, friends and enemies. Presented in mint-condition 4K for the first time, and featuring Dolby Vision, the Unrated Director’s Cut of Den of Thieves follows “Big Nick” O’Brien (Butler) and his elite unit of L.A. County Sheriffs – the Regulators – as they collide with the Outlaws, ex-military members with a seemingly impossible objective: robbing the Federal Reserve Bank of Los Angeles.

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, also in 4K with Dolby Vision, finds O’Brien hunting across Europe for Outlaw Donnie (Jackson), who’s caught up with the infamous Panther mafia and their plot to rob the world’s largest diamond exchange.

Violent and filled with hard-hitting action, the actors involved in this gruelling assault - which include Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (as Enson Levoux), Pablo Schreiber (as Ray Merrimen), Meadow Williams (as Holly), Evin Ahmad (as Jovanna), Salvatore Esposito (as Slavko), and Swen Temmel (as Milan Lovren) - all bring their A-game and pull off some pretty strong performances which might even draw you in . . . if you can get pass all the alpha man attitudes that come exploding across the screen.
