Halloween 2018 - First Movie Trailer

Our horror pants went a little crazy earlier this summer when we got our first look at the new Halloween reboot with a trailer release back in June.

In that trailer we learned that Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis) has cautiously waited and diligently prepared for this night for the last 40 years. But now she also discovers that Michael Myers (Nick Castle) too, has been waiting. And after the deranged killer unexpectedly escapes from a prison bus, the two finally meet again.

Universal/Blumhouse just now sent us into a full-blown tizzy with the release of the second official trailer for the David Gordon Green-directed Halloween "sequel" that is due out next month on October 19th. And you can watch it below.

We know that this new take ignores all the other versions of the Halloween franchise and takes us right back to where it all began with a direct follow-up to Laurie and Michael's personal Halloween tiff while adding something totally new to the proceedings.

David Gordon Green is directing this time around, working from a script he co-wrote with Danny McBride, but word has it that John Carpenter is heavily involved this time around as well, even going so far as to write the score just like he did with the low budget original back in 1978.{googleads}

So, forget about the two previous reboot attempts and let's all hang our, er masks, on Blumhouse getting it right. Trick or Treat!
