Hobbs & Shaw

And another friendly hi-def hello to our fellow blu-ray geeks. Welcome to the weekly look at our most wanted titles coming to blu-ray and/or 4K Ultra HD for the week of November 5, 2019.

Another relatively slow week of blu-ray and 4K releases, but we did find enough hi-def goodness to make some worthy recommendations.

Let's get things started off this week with a couple of films making home video debuts. The Fast & The Furious spinoff called Hobbs And Shaw is coming with a nice 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital HD edition that will feature an alternate opening, deleted scenes, numerous featurettes, bonus clips, and even a feature-length commentary from the film's director David Leitch.

Lionsgate gives its André Øvredal-directed horror film Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark a wonderful Best Buy Exclusive Steelbook 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital edition as well as a 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital edition. {googleads}

Simon Curtis' The Art of Racing in the Rain is coming at us via 20th Century Fox's Blu-ray + Digital HD set that includes a handful of bonus features as well as an audio commentary by Director Simon Curtis.

Kino Lorber gets in on this week's hi-def action by releasing a couple of catalog titles in the wonderful way that they do. The 1949 film noir crime film, Woman in Hiding, directed by Michael Gordon is getting a brand new 4K remastered blu-ray release as is Jerry Hopper's crime drama Naked Alibi. Both films are to include new audio commentaries from film historians.

And last but certainly not least is Paramount's release of Dean Patisot's sci-fi parody Galaxy Quest which gets a 20th Anniversary Best Buy Steelbook edition which includes previously released bonus materials.

We are also interested in Disney's 4K UHD release of Moana, Lionsgate's Universal Soldier, and Paramount's blu-ray release of Yellowstone Season 2.
