What if all this strange activity in the skies isn’t new? What if humanity has been seeing the same damn things for thousands of years, only describing them with the language available at the time? That is the rabbit hole Clive Christopher happily dives into with Revealing Revelations, a documentary connecting UFOs and UAPs with ancient civilizations, biblical prophecy, and the Book of Revelation. It is a wild premise, but Christopher approaches it with enough sincerity and curiosity to keep the film from becoming another breathless parade of blurry lights and wild-eyed conspiracy theories.
The investigation began during Christopher’s 2011 trip through Asia Minor, where the region’s ancient history caused him to reconsider the boundaries between faith, archaeology, and unexplained phenomena. Alongside Rabbi Allan Moorhead and Matthew Lucero, Christopher examines religious texts and historical accounts through a decidedly modern lens. Could ancient witnesses have encountered something they could only interpret as angels, demons, visions, or signs from God? Or are we simply forcing contemporary UFO theories into stories that were never meant to carry them? The film is smart enough to leave room for both possibilities.
Not every connection lands, and there are moments when Revealing Revelations reaches well beyond what its evidence can comfortably support. That comes with the territory. Once a documentary starts placing extraterrestrials, biblical prophecy, and the end of the world on the same evidence board, a few of those strings are bound to come loose. Still, Christopher never treats speculation as an excuse to stop asking questions. He is less interested in proving that little green men were hiding between the verses than in considering whether humanity has spent centuries misidentifying something it never fully understood.
Revealing Revelations won’t end the debate over UFOs, decode the Book of Revelation, or convince every skeptic that ancient humanity was staring up at visitors from somewhere else. It doesn’t need to. The film succeeds because it makes the mystery feel old again—older than government hearings, military footage, and whatever grainy object happens to be circling social media this week. Curious, occasionally overreaching, and never dull, it opens some ancient doors and dares us to look through them. Maybe there is nothing waiting on the other side. Then again, maybe something has been waiting there all along.
