With the highly anticipated third installment of the Transformers series set to hit theaters this summer on July 1st, the Transformers: Dark of the Moon promotion machine has been in full gear of late, including the release last month of a batch of set picks, teaser trailers, a Super Bowl spot, and a smattering of spy pics.
Today Paramount launched the first official feature-length trailer over on iTunes, but we have it for your perusal here at Reel Reviews.
After admitting to some serious problems with the second film in the series, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Michael Bay promises a return to basics and a much better film with Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Time will certainly tell, but if today's trailer is any indication, he's on the right track.

When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us.
