James Wan, director of Insidious and Saw is back up to his old (frightful) tricks with The Conjuring, a supernatural thriller in which a family encounters dark spirits living among them in their New England farmhouse. In fact, things get so spooky the family resorts to hiring a team of paranormal investigators, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, who find themselves involved in the most horrifying investigation of their lives.

There's nothing new with regards to innovative horror technique to be revealed in the trailer (which you can watch below) and the film will more than likely be yet another simple rehash of all the cliched horror conventions we've come to expect from his films. But the guy time and again manages to find new ways to send jolts down our spines.

The Conjuring bowed to a huge success at 2013's New York Comic-Con and is slated to hit theaters this summer on July 19th.
