Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol movie trailerMaking its debut in front of this weekend's opening of Puss in Boots, will be the first full-length feature trailer for Paramount's fourth film in the Mission: Impossible franchise, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.

The film features Tom Cruise returning as IMF agent Ethan Hunt, who will this time be faced with clearing the agency's name after the IMF is implicated in a bombing that takes down the Kremlin. To further complicate matters, Hunt is forced on the secretive mission with fellow IMF agents who have personal motives of their own.

We got our first look at the Brad Bird directed thriller earlier this summer when the studio released a teaser trailer that has been saturating the TV airwaves ever since. This latest full-length trailer gives a little more of the plot and also goes into a bit more depth on the story's grander elements including a spine-tingling climb up the side of Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Also of note is the fact that nearly half an hour of the film's footage was shot with IMAX cameras. Many will remember that a few significant segments of The Dark Knight included IMAX sequences. When Ghost Protocol hits theaters in wide release on December 21st, it will include an exclusive six minute prologue to Christopher Nolan's final film in the Batman franchise, The Dark Knight Rises.
