The Help - Movie TrailerThe trailer for The Help, adapted from Kathryn Stockett's 2009 novel of the same name, just came down. The story is a "timeless and universal story about the ability to create change." It looks very promising with a great mix of humor, period cinematography, and extraordinary emotions.

But one thing bothers us about this trailer. After watching it, we feel like we've seen the entire movie. There's something to be said for giving viewers an enticing reason to fork out money to watch the film. But it's another to satiate our curiosity with the trailer.

The Help is set in 1960s South and is about a trio of southern society girls whose friendship becomes strained when one decides to interview the black women who have spent their lives taking care of prominent southern families. The film, directed by Tate Taylor stars Emma Stone, Viola Davis, Jessica Chastain, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sissy Spacek, Octavia Spencer, and Allison Janney. With a cast like that, it has to be good. Right?

The help is produced by Dreamworks but will be distributed under the Disney banner.
