Mila Kunis as Wicked Witch of the WestLooks like Natalie Portman's Black Swan nemesis is about to go all wicked as it's being said she wants to follow James Franco down the yellow brick road.

Vulture is reporting that Mila Kunis will be joining the 127 Hours actor for Sam Raimi's Wizard of Oz prequel called Oz, the Great and Powerful that will show how the Wiz ended up in Oz in the first place.

A meeting with Raimi and Franco reportedly sold them on the idea that Kunis would the perfect Theodorah, the younger sister of Evanorah who, of course, goes on to become the Wicked Witch of the West.

Following in Margaret Hamilton's iconic footsteps, you've got some pretty tough shoes to fill, my pretty!

In order to commit to donning the striped stockings, Vulture said that Kunis had to walk away from Warner Bros.' live-action remake of Katsuhiro Ôtomo’s 1988 manga epic Akira. Now that Brad Pitt also turned down an offer for Akira - to be Kaneda - that film is in a serious disarray. Not fun to be Warner right now as the manga adaptation is said to be a very, very expensive venture, but can't seem to find that big name anchor to star.

Shooting for Oz, the Great and Powerful is set to begin filming this July at the Walt Disney Studios.
