It has been officially announced by Sony Home Pictures Entertainment that Taxi Driver will get its debut on sparkling blu-ray this coming April 5.
The Martin Scorcese directed film that stars a young Robert DeNiro as a mentally unstable war veteran seeking the attention of a young female, has received a 4k digital restoration from the original negative from Grover Crisp, senior VP for restoration and mastering of Sony Pictures.
After a screening at the Berlin Film Festival later this week, the film will be readied for its 35th anniversary Edition release on blu-ray.
