In TimeJustin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, and Olivia Wilde star in Andrew Niccol's In Time, a sci-fi thriller that is unfairly being called a Logan's Run rip-off. While there are a couple of remote similarities in that both films deal with early death scenarios as a means of population control, In Time appears to be a quite different film.

Watch the trailer for In Time below (or watch it in HD over at apple.com) to see how in Niccol's future, people stop aging at 25 and must work to buy themselves more time. When a young man (Timberlake) finds himself falsely accused of murder he must run from the corrupt police force with his beautiful hostage to save his life. In the end, the couple's love becomes a powerful tool in their rage against the machine.

So, yes, there are remote similarities to Logan's Run, or even Gattaca, but there's a pretty cool (and relevant) little twist that just might make this one worth seeing: everyone has one year of life where they can work for more time. How's that for incentive to work hard?

Plus, there's always Olivia Wilde to ogle if the plot goes off the rails in a bad way. By the way, is it just me, or is she the hardest working actress in Hollywood right now?

In Time also stars Alex Pettyfer, Matthew Bomer, and Cillian Murphy. It is slated for an October 28, 2011 theatrical release.
