Not be forgotten or overlooked in this year's summer movie clamor, The Amazing Spider-man, which isn't due out until next summer, is making a big ruckus today with the release to the web of a whole slew of new photos which give us our first good look at where Marc Webb is trying to go with his vision. Sony Studios will undoubtedly leverage today's excitement with its big Spider-man event at next week's Comic-Con 2011.

After enduring months of spy photos, sneak peeks, rough costume shots, and trailer and plot descriptions, we can finally start getting down to brass tacks. And that includes a fantastic look at the full spidey suit, major characters in the film, including Aunt and Uncle Parker (Sally Field and Martin Sheen) and Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) and we even get a hint at how the Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield)/Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) relationship may work out. Let's not forget the oft talked about mechanical web shooters that can be seen in one of the below photos.
